Dr. Jonathan Markham is committed to providing excellent care to each of his patients.  He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, from developing relationships to performing advanced dental procedures.  His greatest desire for his patients is to deliver the same customer service and dental care that he would want for his family.

Dr. Markham, originally from Dothan, AL, attended Auburn University where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering.  After briefly working as an engineer, he went on to attend the UAB School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.   While in dental school, Dr. Markham developed a desire to practice dentistry in a small town and knew that having the ability to perform a wide range of dental procedures would be necessary.  In order to receive additional training in dental implants, full mouth rehab, oral surgery, root canals, and the treatment of medically compromised patients, Dr. Markham completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the VA Hospital in Birmingham.  Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Markham opened Geneva Family Dentistry in 2012.   Dr. Markham is a member of the Board of Directors of Wiregrass Medical Center. 

Dr. Robert Rowell grew up in Crestview, Florida and attended the University of West Florida where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology.  After completion of undergraduate study, Dr. Rowell spent the next two years earning a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Florida in Tampa.  While attending USF, Dr. Rowell felt a strong calling into dentistry.  Upon graduation from USF, Dr. Rowell began dental school at the University of Florida in Gainesville.  Prior to joining our team, Dr. Rowell practiced with his family in Milton, Florida.  He joined Geneva Family Dentistry in 2018.

The Markham Family

Jonathan and Sarah both grew up in the Wiregrass and met at Auburn in Engineering school.  They married in 2007 and lived in Birmingham where Jonathan attended dental school and Sarah worked for Southern Company.   In 2012, they decided to move closer to family and worked together to start Geneva Family Dentistry.  They have 3 children, Amelia, Will, and Adeline.
Jonathan and Sarah want to welcome you to Geneva Family Dentistry!  They continue to look for ways to enhance the practice and provide you with the best experience.  They want all their patients to feel like they are part of their family!

The Rowell Family

Robert and his wife Lindsay met through a mutual friend in 2009.  They married in 2012 and moved to Gainesville for Robert to attend dental school.  Since then, they have called several places their home but are excited to have finally settled in north Holmes County.  They have 3 children, Payton, Owen, and Julianne.

As a child, Robert spent much of his time hunting and fishing on family land in Bonifay.  It was these times in which his passion for rural communities began.  Robert and Lindsay are glad to be part of Geneva Family Dentistry. They enjoy the opportunity to serve the people of this community and the opportunity to raise their family with the core values that are easily portrayed in Geneva.
